“Building a house is one of the more daunting endeavors you can take on. I bought a house and then decided to pretty much tear it down and rebuild a two story modern home on a very very tight budget. The builder I was working with initially double his cost once we were ready w plans. I then met Max and immediately liked the guy and felt he had the resources and temperament I wanted to work with. I also talked w a previous client of his that praised him and now i’m doing the same! You are taking a gamble when you choose a contractor, and that can be worrisome as a lot of money is involved. That said I couldn’t have been happier w how the entire build went. We made changes mid build, as you do, and he was fair about those costs and was always able to find a way to execute what was needed on schedule or even faster. I even had my neighbors praising him to me! saying he kept the street clean and noise down. Everyone always says building is such a nightmare, but i can say that was not my experience in great part due to Max and his team at Valley Mission Builders. I consider him a friend and very talented GC. We finished the project within a year and the house has been feature in Architectural magazines.
